Classic Israeli Hummus
Ingredients:
1 can of chickpeas, drained and rinsed
2 cloves of garlic, minced
1/4 cup tahini
Juice of 1 lemon
2 tablespoons olive oil
Salt and pepper to taste
Instructions:
In a food processor, combine the chickpeas, garlic, tahini, lemon juice, and olive oil. Blend until smooth.
Season with salt and pepper to taste.
Transfer the hummus to a serving dish and drizzle with extra olive oil.
Serve with pita bread, vegetables, or as a spread on sandwiches.
Roasted Red Pepper Hummus
Ingredients:
1 can of chickpeas, drained and rinsed
1 red bell pepper, roasted and peeled
2 cloves of garlic, minced
1/4 cup tahini
Juice of 1 lemon
2 tablespoons olive oil
Salt and pepper to taste
Instructions:
In a food processor, blend the chickpeas, roasted red pepper, garlic, tahini, lemon juice, and olive oil until smooth.
Season with salt and pepper to taste.
Transfer the hummus to a serving dish and garnish with chopped parsley.
Serve with pita bread, crackers, or as a dip for veggies.
Spicy Jalapeno Hummus
Ingredients:
1 can of chickpeas, drained and rinsed
1 jalapeno pepper, seeded and diced
2 cloves of garlic, minced
1/4 cup tahini
Juice of 1 lemon
2 tablespoons olive oil
Salt and pepper to taste
Instructions:
In a food processor, combine the chickpeas, jalapeno pepper, garlic, tahini, lemon juice, and olive oil. Blend until smooth.
Season with salt and pepper to taste.
Transfer the hummus to a serving dish and sprinkle with crushed red pepper flakes for an extra kick.
Serve with tortilla chips, sliced veggies, or as a spread on sandwiches.
