Classic Fudgy Brownies
Ingredients:
1 cup unsalted butter
2 cups granulated sugar
4 large eggs
1 teaspoon vanilla extract
3/4 cup unsweetened cocoa powder
1 cup all-purpose flour
1/2 teaspoon salt
1/2 teaspoon baking powder
Instructions:
Preheat oven to 350°F and grease a 9×13 inch baking dish.
Melt the butter in a large saucepan over low heat.
Remove from heat and stir in sugar, eggs, and vanilla until well combined.
Stir in cocoa powder, flour, salt, and baking powder until just combined.
Pour batter into prepared baking dish and bake for 25-30 minutes, or until a toothpick inserted in the center comes out with a few moist crumbs.
Let cool before cutting into squares and serving.
Salted Caramel Brownies
Ingredients:
1 cup unsalted butter
2 cups granulated sugar
4 large eggs
1 teaspoon vanilla extract
3/4 cup unsweetened cocoa powder
1 cup all-purpose flour
1/2 teaspoon salt
1/2 teaspoon baking powder
1/2 cup store-bought or homemade salted caramel sauce
Instructions:
Follow the same instructions for the classic fudgy brownies, but swirl in salted caramel sauce on top of the brownie batter before baking.
Bake as directed and let cool before cutting into squares and serving.
Peppermint Patty Brownies
Ingredients:
1 cup unsalted butter
2 cups granulated sugar
4 large eggs
1 teaspoon vanilla extract
3/4 cup unsweetened cocoa powder
1 cup all-purpose flour
1/2 teaspoon salt
1/2 teaspoon baking powder
1 cup chopped peppermint patties
Instructions:
Follow the same instructions for the classic fudgy brownies, but fold in chopped peppermint patties into the brownie batter before baking.
Bake as directed and let cool before cutting into squares and serving.
